There are so many guides online for how to
unlock the Bell 2Wire modem. Most of them are using Singtel firmware. SingTel’s firmware is better than Bell’s
firmware but I like the CenturyLink’s firmware.
It has a clean interface and you can setup password to protect. You can
download this firmware from their support website here. It may ask you to enter the zip code, you can use this 55401. Down the list you will see 2Wire 2701/270HG, expand it by clicking the plus sign and click on windows or Macintosh and following the instructions to download the firmware.
